The Social Committee of the Lublin Metropolitan Area is the socio-economic advisory body of the LMA Association, representing areas such as:

- civil society,
- entities working for environmental protection,
- entities responsible for promoting social inclusion, fundamental rights, the rights of people with special needs, gender equality, and non-discrimination.
The rules governing the functioning of the Social Committee are defined by its regulations.
According to Article 6, paragraph 3 of the Statute of the LMA Association, the right to propose candidates for membership in the Social Committee belongs to the Members of the LMA Association.
